Recently honored with the Surf Industry's Lifetime Achievement Award, Tomson shares powerful stories of resilience, commitment, and hope-illustrating how the lessons of the sea can inspire courage and purpose in our divided and turbulent world.

"Cell phones and social media have disconnected us from each other. Theaters bring us together into a community, like listening to stories around a campfire. I remember the first surf film I watched with my Dad, and the experience was like a gathering of a tribe I like to think I carry on the tradition of telling surf stories like the ancient Hawaiians, the world's first surfers. In today's broken world we need to bring people together and surfing stories told face to face, heart to heart and soul to soul are the way to do it."
